Trail tools
Plan before you go
Simple tools for trail planning. They give general guidance only. Always follow your vehicle manual, your tyre maker and local conditions.
Tyre-pressure estimator
Get a starting range to test for the terrain. It is an estimate based on rules of thumb, not tyre-maker data.
How this is calculated
The tool reduces your road pressure by a percentage range for the terrain: gravel 10 to 20 percent, mud 15 to 30, sand 30 to 45, rock crawling 25 to 40 and snow 15 to 30. For a heavy load the reduction is 5 percentage points smaller. Results are rounded to the nearest 0.5 PSI.
Limits: these ranges are common rules of thumb, not validated against any tyre, vehicle or terrain. No source is cited. They do not account for tyre construction, load rating, temperature or speed. This is not a safe-pressure or safe-speed recommendation.
Trail compass
Uses your phone’s sensors. It needs your permission, works only on devices with a compass sensor and points to magnetic north.
Tap the button and allow motion access when asked.
Calibration and limits
If the heading looks wrong, move your phone in a slow figure-eight, keep it flat and stay away from metal and magnets. Phone compasses can be inaccurate. Do not rely on one as your only navigation.
